Steingass Silent Hunter **SOLD**

Gentlemen:

For your consideration is this hidden tang Silent Hunter in W-2/Stabilized Walnut. I had the walnut stabilized by K&G - this handle has intense crotch flame figure on on both sides. The blade is flat ground with steep 20 degree secondary bevels to make this an effective finesse knife. The blade was hand rubbed to 2000 grit and lightly etched to reveal a vivid hamon. The hidden tang extends 3/4 of the way into the handle and is set with a 3/32" stainless pin and G Flex marine grade epoxy. I hope you like it! I don't know where you find the walnut you use but it is gorgeous. A friend related a story to me about watching a farmer in Tajikistan digging out a walnut stump about 3 ft high and sawing it up. "What are you going to do with it?" "Stove wood". He said the figure in the root burl was beautiful.
