Gentlemen:
For your consideration is this spear point hunter in W-2/Stabilized Quilted Maple. The hollow ground blade was hand rubbed to 2000 grit and etched to reveal a vivid hamon. Since the mortise in the handle goes 2/3 of the way down, that dark spot you see on the top of the handle is lead shot that the tree grew around. I've seen this before in my 35 years of working with wood - it adds character to the knife and is supplied at no extra charge.
The tang is set with G Flex marine grade epoxy and a 3/32" stainless pin. The solder joint is true with no pinholes. The stabilized quilted maple was sanded to 2000 grit and a has a Truoil gloss finish. The maker's mark is there on the ricasso - I left it a little light on this one. I hope you like it! The first "I'll take it," PM, or email gets it. $290 delivered CONUS. PAYPAL preferred to tksteingass@frontier.com. This knife is also posted on my website. Thanks for viewing and your comments are appreciated.
