Gentlemen:

For your consideration is this Presentation Grade Vest Dagger in 1095 and Box Elder Burl. I got the idea for this grind from the great knifemaker Buster Warenski.......the obverse side is single hollow ground with an eight inch wheel while the presentation side is double hollow ground with a three inch wheel. My spin on this grind was to include a convex ground point for added strength during penetration. This knife will be extremely easy to sharpen by placing the flat side on a stone, holding flat and using pull strokes. The hollow grinds were taken to 1200 grit and etched to reveal a vivid hamon line, visible on both sides. The double dyed box elder burl is stabilized and had lots of figure and great color. The double lugged guard is equally comfortable with either a side or vertical hold with the thumb resting on the guard during a short thrust. I haven't made the sheath yet but the buyer may specify right or left. The first "I'll take it" gets it. $525 plus $15 shipping. Paypal preferred to my account tksteingass@frontier.com Maker's lifetime common sense warranty and free sharpening.

V/R,

TK

Very unique. At first glance I thought I was looking at 2 different knives.

Wow. You've done it again, TK. I'll be wanting one like this later this year. Well, I WANT it NOW. But I'm going to wait to actually purchase one. :)

That is a beautiful dagger. The little reinforcement on the tip is a nice touch and needed more than most folks think. The tip is more fragile than you imagine if you strike bone. The wood is spectacular and the lugs look nice. Grind is great.

Thanks Ben - the frail tip was the design flaw in the Fairbairn-Sykes fighting knife - they were breaking the tip off all the time.

This knife was sold off my website - thanks for the kind words gentlemen :)
