Gentlemen:

This is my basic bowie that can handle bushcraft, field dressing game, survival, and combat.....not too big, not too small. The design incorporates a full tang, though one would think this is a frame handle knife......the double guard slot is machined slightly wider than the butt so it can slide over the handle. After the double guard is driven on and pinned, a file guide is used to grind the bottom of the ricasso resulting in a 1/8" long section of the guard under the blade which looks like a bolster....very strong, very cool. The flat ground blade was ground to .030" and 25 degree bevels applied for a robust edge - the spine is rounded to enable batoning the blade. The blade was hand rubbed to 400 grit pull strokes making it easily maintained by the user to keep looking like new. The spalted hackberry scales were stabilized by K&G. I hope you like it! The first I'll take it, email, or PM gets it. This knife will also be listed on my website. $340 delivered CONUS. Paypal payment preferred to tksteingass@frontier.com. Maker's lifetime common sense warranty and free sharpening.

Great price on a great knife from a great maker. I've got one of these in green micarta and it's nothing short of awesome. Everybody who handles it thinks so. Somebody buy this quickly -- I can't justify owning two!

A very handsome knife. Does "batoning" fall under your common sense warranty? I'll have to remember that. How about if I dont have a stick or mallet and use a hammer or rock?
Beautiful scales. I don't think I"ve ever seen hackberry.

Thanks for commenting Ben - your question is a good one about common sense and batoning. Normally batoning is done with a piece of wood on a knife spine - this is the common sense approach, covered by my lifetime warranty.

Common sense ain't so common.
I'm sorely tempted by this one. A beautiful job and a useable design and size.

I was curious if battoning was covered as well, good to know man! I'll have a knife of yours one these days when the boss lady lets me back into the bank account..... :grumpy:

I'll take this, Tim.

Travelling, so would appreciate if you could hang onto it for another 2 weeks, and may not be very fast responding, but I am good for the funds once you confirm.

Best,
Stephen.
