stellite hardness

Can you check the hardness on stellite with a hardness tester? Don't work on the C scale. What scale would it be checked on?? I know it is tough to grind. Thanks
 
Unless there is some other form of stellite, the one I know of is around 40-45hrc and can be tested on the C scale easily.
EDIT: I know the carbides are harder than 40-45 and I don't know a way to test that but the matrix the carbides are in are 40-45ish.

It depends on the hardfacing technique and the final Fe dilution. Typical values range 42-45 HRC.
I don't know much but it should be able to be tested on the C scale.

When I tested, I got in the 40's but thought that was probably wrong, it being so hard to work. MY BAD
