Stellite, talonite...

and cobalt, exactly just how are they different ? I know they have more of the same characteristics but are one and the same and differ only in name, or what??
 
Isn't the one kind of Stellite not possible to be made anymore, and can only be found in the from of engine valves?
 
I have an advertisement from 1935 for stellite bladed knives, only $35 to $50 each.

Some of the initial uses were for exhaust valves (still being made), lathe bits for turning grey iron, and dispensing valves for liquid glass.

They initially were called Haynes alloys after the inventor.

Stellite 6K and Talonite are both related with the Talonite being equivalent to Stellite 6B.
