Stereotypical dad knives

Hello everyone my wife and I found out we are having a baby girl in January which will also mark one year since we lost our baby boy. I got to thinking yesterday what is everyones stereotypical dad knife?
Congratulations on the baby girl. Very sorry for your loss. For me, a Case stockman, trapper or sodbuster come to mind. Or a Buck 110.

I guess just about any traditional slip joint or lock back would do.

Congratulations and condolences for your previous loss. Whenever I see a SAK huntsman, I think of my Dad, he has carried one my entire life, and I have gifted him several over the years.

The knife my kids know as “dad’s knife” would be my Sere 2K.

Not stereotypical at all, but when they picture “dad’s knife” I’m sure that’s what they see. They’ve all told me that.

Whatever you carry, your kids will remember as “dad’s knife”, so make it a good one.

Needs to be a Chris Reeve knife with a birth date matching your kid's. If you're ever worried you'll forget a birthday you can just check your knife drawer for confirmation.
I lucked into a unique 21 with my daughter's first birthday and an Arius with her sixth. She is well aware they are both hers eventually 😁 BTW, there is a sticky in the CRK forum dedicated to matching folks with dates

Beat me to it. Any knife is a "Dad's knife" since you are a dad. My oldest daughter seems to like my more colorful knives. I ordered custom knives with matching handles, one for me and one for her:

I am terribly sorry for your previous difficulties but want to congratulate you on your future joy. Congratulations, girls are the best!

I have two small Sebenzas made on the day my son was born. They'll be his some day.

One of my small Sebenzas was in my pocket for the stillbirth of my first son when we lost him, and again for the son we had after. That is one of my most prized possessions in this world, as it is the only object I have that was touched by both my boys, since the one was gone too soon.
