Steri Pens

I Have Been Looking at a Steri Pen as an Alternative to purification tabs For camping and travel.


Does anyone Have any experience or knowlwdge of them. it just seems like a sensible system especially if coupled with even a basic filter Like a Bandana.

They're better than water purification tablets, because the water is drinkeable after a few minutes, while the tablets needs an hour to kill all bacteria and viruses.
But since I'd never rely on an electronic device alone, I'd take some tablets as a backup.

Most filters don't kill viruses, so a steripen is a good addition.
