Now I have done it. The following pics is not for the faint of heart.

A little Flitz, a paper towel, 3 minutes of polishing and there went the logos!

I kinda thought it was going to happen and I like they way it looks. Guess it is really mine now, seeing as how now nobody will know what kind of knife it is.

Good thing S!K invested in a new etcher!

I thought the flag was a really cool idea especially compared to just saying "made in the USA".

Then again, I am American........

Oh I was hoping this would not degrade to a question of patriotism. The flag was so indistinguishable it really could have been anything.

Lol, Yeah that first post-move batch is pretty light. I think a lot of folks are going to dig it sterile. The company could even add sterile as an option easily enough, I've got plenty of Rats that are that way. Your knife, your choice

We were not able to get the logos off with what we had in the shop. We will pick up some Flitz and make sure we can recreate what you did here. If so, we will be happy to clean off some of those GSO-3.5s with the light engraving and then hit them with our engraver. I will post back once we know for sure.

RUNIT I think it looks really cool. And yeah, it's your knife, you do what you like. I actually do like S!K logos myself, I think they look really nifty. I have a few knives with the American flag on them and I'm proud to display it (if you haven't worked it out yet, I'm Australian). I'm actually going to electro etch them deeper so when I strip the coating they still stand out. However I would also like to etch a Southern Cross onto a blade too. I think that would look cool as well. More power to you RUNIT, keep up the sweet mods..

Sounds promising, let me know how that works out.
Thanks.
Would like to have this (non fac. 2nd) re-done the right way:

When I first received mine a couple weeks back I tried striking a ferro rod. Used a little Flitz to clean the spine and right away I could tell the logos became lighter. It's a second so not too concerned. But it is true.
A wheel w/ compound should take it right off
