Sterile Blade Spartan Harsey 3.25?

Yes, I thought I posted but I guess it didn't go through. Spartan said occasionally a blade slips though without getting laser marked, they offered to pay for shipping and fix it, but I ended up just exchanging it with the AD.

Just to update, I just bought my first Spartan a month ago, I had seen them on my online knife dealers pages but didn't really know that much about them. I guess over the years I've become a knife snob and over looked brands based on my history with major brands, like CRK, Hinderer, etc. I've got to be honest, I'm totally impressed with Spartan, this Harsey 3.25 is amazing and I should've bought one a long time ago. I'm thinking I need to be more open minded and give some other brands a chance. Now I'm looking at Guardian Tactical and Axial.

Okay, I love these knives, but I found another issue with the first one I bought, I noticed last night that the thumb stud is loose and spins freely in the blade. It doesn't seem to have any side to side movement so I don't think I have to worry about it falling out but it's kinda frustrating at this price point that 2 of the 3 I've have issues. I don't want to have to deal with sending it in for warranty, so I think I'm just going to squirt some red loctite in there and roll with it as a user. The blade lock up is rock solid with no play in any direction, the blade stonewash is very nice, the handle finish is great, the ergo's are great, I really do love the style and feel of these knives.

Why jump to red & risk making things harder later?
Because it's supposed to be press fit and non removable anyway, it didn't work though, I put some loctite on it last night and when I got up this morning it was still loose! lol

Well, I don't know now, Spartan emailed back and said the thumb studs are screw on, and that they loctite them. Either way, it's been in my pocket since I got it.

I just got my first, a full size NW Edition. I’m so very impressed with the brand and as a vet, I’m happy to support them. I’ve had a bunch of CRKs (multiple Sebbies and a Zaan) so I can see why many folks make a comparison to CRK, but these Harseys are like a Sebby’s roughneck cousin. Not better, just a little less refined and more “butch” lol.
