Hey folks,

Just wanted to share a set I was able to put together following this year's AKI. Two of the coolest knives I own. They are described in their respective catalogs as:

AKI-SRJFighters.jpg

AKI 2007: Heavy Duty Chute Knife
- 5 inch blade, mammoth handle, stainless steel fittings, 5/16 inch stock, ATS-34, "AKI 2007" logo.

AKI 2009: Loveless-Style Chute Knife
- long 5-3/4" blade, SS fittings, stag handles, 1/4" stock CPM 154-CM, "AKI 2009" trademark.

I think he hit the mark on both!

Best,

Matt

Two awesome chutes, Matt, congrats and thanks for sharing.
I'm with Joe on the stag piece.

One of Steve Johnson's models that I like very much...
Beautiful pair!

All the best,

These are awesome. If you own '06 or '08 and are reading please post pics. :)

Hey I wish they would do the AKI every year, but this would probably not endear me to many of the makers!

How about a group of Archers? Thanks again, Steve!

I forgot that this was in blade a couple of months ago. It probably provides a more complete rendering of the knife than my amteur attempt.

I figured if it was in Blade a few months ago, then there had to be a jpeg. of it floating around somewhere. I called Steve to ask him and he said that although he didn't have the digital file he did have the hard copy- and would I like to have it. This is the scan of that picture.

Steve, always the gentleman, thanks again for sending along the original. Came out great I think (both knife and photo!).
