Long time collector/User based in Canada.
Not much of a forum guy.....I read a lot, but don't post.
I guess the point I am getting at, is either I don't understand
how BF works, or that I can't make a purchase
without being a 'Gold member?'....

Basically, you can purchase off of the exchange with a "Registered User" membership but can't post things for Sale. Hope this helps! Send me an email or PM if you have any other questions.
"REGISTERED USERS - The first level of membership. If you have not purchased a paid subscription, you are by default a Registered User. As such, you are very limited to posting areas in the Exchange. You may respond to threads where you mean to purchase an item, or trade. You are not allowed to create threads for Selling or Trading (but you may respond to existing ads). You do have the ability to create WTB threads."
