Steve Likarich knife. Looking for more info!

This drifts far from the original topic of this thread and for that I apologize in advance.

Lorien, I would ordinarily take this to PM, but I think I would like to address both sides of this particular equation.

First and foremost I think you are doing an admirable job of moderating and doing so in a fair and measured way. I certainly, absolutely do not view you as weak in any sense of the word. As I said in my PM to you The comments that started this whole thing might have been better placed in GBU.

Stevie and Willie, I largely agree with your positions as they concern 1st amendment, blah, blah blah, but to come down on Lorien for doing what he thought was right and in line with his duty as moderator Is kind of stepping over the line on your part, particularly with references to being weak etc.

This whole thing is and has been blown way out of proportion to its true importance, and I think the best thing do do now is just let it die and part friends........all of us.

Thank you,

Paul

Thanks for the response to my post. I'm really trying to get an idea of how much I could sell this for. When I first posted this I didn't have gold membership.

440C and ATS-34 if memory serves. He made all of his knives using files and sandpaper. His prices were very high, those pieces that Buddy posted from Santa Barbara were around 3k iirc.

Funny thing about Buddy shooting at Santa Barbara. Eric Eggly cancelled on Steve D'Lack at the last minute because he had a photo shoot for Converse, potentially leaving the show without an official photographer...which would have been a shame, because there were some truly great knives in the room, and anyone interested can read my show review in the Archives.

Buddy stepped up, on almost no notice and did a fantastic job. The behavior Eric displayed caused me to lose almost complete respect for him, and left me humbled/awed by Buddy's Herculean efforts and coming through at the last minute.

Have never wavered on either position.
