I am looking for Ecrima Stick videos... any style will do. I need forms videos, artistic, and fighting ones.

Any recomendations? I have spent time searching for them on the Web. Quality is not top priority as long as you can see the moves.

TIA

Try Bram Franks conceptual stick video helps u develop your basic building blocks. You can get it from www.cssdsc.com An excellent tape, and of course anything by Professor Remy Presas will be of great value

I too recommend the Dog Brothers series and any tapes on Lameco Eskrima by the late PG Edgar Sulite. Some titles to look for are:

Single Stick Essentials
The Secrets of Double Stickfighting
Espada y Daga
Laban Laro / Advanced Laban Laro

Also check out anything by Tuhon Bill McGrath.

I have both volumes of Single Stick (Lameco) and the first volume of Double Stick (Lameco), and have viewed most of the Dog Bros Videos.

i highly recommend the Dog Brothers vids. their first set is predominately geared for solo training and the 2nd set is for partner training. to see the fights really puts into perspective what you are training for to ensure what you are doing will work.

i also liked the Lameco series and the Bill McGrath Lionheart series. prior to Rick Tucci's set, the Terry Gibson series were probably the only organized presentation of the Inosanto/Lacoste Kali out there. but with Tucci's set out which i've seen, it looks great if you are into ILK. Guro Dan Inosanto himself has 3 series out.

there are plans for the Sayocs to come out with some stick vids soon, which should be interesting, given their knife material is pretty interesting.

there are countless more, but i highly recommend the DB series.

Hello Gadget54,

There are many good stickfighting videos out now. Here are a few that I have in my collection.

DogBrothers series 1 and series 2
Filipino Martial Arts 1-6 (Dan Inosanto)
Rene Latosa series
Pananadata (Mat Marinas)
Lameco Series by Edgar Sulite (These are very well done)
Ultimate Sinawali (Mr Simonet teaches alot of basic double stick drills)
Pekiti Tirsia volumes by Mr McGrath
Kali Ilustrisimo vol 1-4
Kelly Worden's Connecting the systems, and his appearance on Water and Steel
Paul Vunak's Stickfighting tape

This should start to give you an idea of what is available out there. I Can list more if you would like.

Train Hard It is the Way!

I knew this was the place to ask!

Thank you for your help. I will have to print this out and start collecting.

Thanks

All great recommendations. After watching the AA tape, and you want to get more into the practical applications, you can't go wrong with the Dog Bros Videos.

Anyhow, I just put the Rene Latosa - Dos Manos Tape up for trade in the Exchange Forum.
