I would much appreciate any actual review , from personal experience , you have to offer ! :)
I'm waiting for the knife in question to go on sale. Looks like a great product to me and I will give my impressions after handling in person!

I like the overall design and would consider it as a carry knife if I knew it had sufficient hardness to hold a reasonable edge. Unfortunately specifying generic 420 with no mention of hardness means it almost certainly does not. Throwers should like it though.

weirdly I kinda want one not as a thrower. but as a fixed blade.

I Don't like exposed tang that are now so prevalent with machine made knives. This looks like it takes it to extreme levels.

But I agree a simple, almost puukko like profile looks appealing for edc.
It's always on the back of my mind.....

being a thrower I'm guessing low hrc on the heat treat. would make it tougher and good for throwing and bad for keeping an edge and using as a fixed blade. that'd be the only thing not to like......
Usually , dedicated throwers have lower hardness and edges that are not very sharp .

Not great for EDC type knife stuff .

You can find otherwise , but not cheap .

The scales are inset from the edges of the tang to protect from damage .

Meh, That doesn't make sense.....
What protects the edge of another knife hitting the exposed tang? 😂😂😂😂

According to Cold Steel: The 5.8", full-tang blade features a razor-sharp edge that maintains its sharpness throw after throw,.
I figure since there are two of them one can be like a utility knife and the other reserved as a dedicated self defense blade should the need ever arise. So that one should stay nice and sharp from lack of use.

The tang is steel ...perhaps you are joking ? 🤤

I was wondering what protects the edge of the knife when it hits Another one of these throwing knives.... Like thrown in groups. Multiples.
Seems silly wanting to protect handle material. Probably would be better without the micarta.
-Not joking.

then it'd be no good as a fixed blade, which is what I want it for.

I guess I could wrap it in Docs famous orange hockey type tape as grip though, if it had no scales on it.

...anything you will possibly believe , we'll tell you , to sell something ! :p
you're gettin real narrowed eyed on cold steel in this thread....I'm digging on this side of ya I hadn't seen before.......
