sticky frame lock

I'm sure this kind of thread has been made a thousand times but...

took apart my spyderco Chokwe recently and when I got it back together the titanium frame lock is super sticky, it even needs two hands to press it back over when I open it quickly. so how do I fix this? I know its a fairly common issue, so whats the common solution?

also the blade centering is a tad off, any suggestions for that to?

Thanks!

Make sure there isn't any oil or Anything else on the lock face or the tang. Put a bit of Sharpie on the tang where the lock face makes contact with the tang.

I put some Sharpie on the end Qtip. I take off about 1/2 of the cotton on the Qtip first tho.

Centering should be easy if you: tighten down the pivot screw all the way, loosen the standoff screws about 2/3 of the way, wedge a piece of paper of thin cardboard

between the inside of the frame and the blade VERY TIGHT. So tight you can hardly get it in! Put the paper on the side of the blade you want to move.

Tighten the so screws, take out the wedge, and readjust the pivot. This usually works on my Millies. I have a Chokwe but have never needed to center the blade on it.

I hope this helps you.
