Made the stupid mistake of getting to much oil on the pivot and some leaked onto my lock face. It's a frame lock. Now my lockup is a little sticky. Does anyone know how to remove the oil completely from the lockface and blade tang. Is there something I should use like mineral spirits or something of that sort? Windex maybe? Thanks for your help.

For stuff like that I usually spray heavily with wd-40 or some other light penetrator, then blow it out until almost dry with an air compressor. Or you could just try a little rubbing alcohol on a q-tip and just clean the lock face and adjacent blade area.

Acetone (Nail polish remover) will remove most any oily or greasey stuff. Remember it is very flammable.
