I am finishing up a knife I've been working on. I didn't have any masking or duct tape on me so I used the the regular office tape. It is eaving a sticky residue on hte blade. I tried soap, alchohol, and windex but it still has some. I can smudge it with my fingers. Can I try nail polish removal without damage to the epoxy or canvas micarta handle? Any other suggestions?

Spray it with WD-40 and let it sit for about ten minutes. Then spray it again and wipe it down.

If that doesn't work, you can get some stuff from homecenters called "Goof-Off" and it works really well. I have a big bottle of it for my disc sander clean-up. :)
