Still cancer free!!!

I'mGatman, Thanks for the info! Really appreciated. I will tell my father in law knows because he heard rumor that the treatment is very painful. I bet he will be glad to know it won't hurt. Thanks again Sir!

Congratulations brother! from one survivor to another! keep the faith and keep positive!

CONGRATS from another survivor! I got the all clear in Jan. & go in for more tests on 03/31. I sure hope it's still clear, coz, like GatMan, I sure as heck do not want any more chemo!

Jason, hope you can make it to BLADE, we can toast our successes together!

God Bless you!

M10, I too recently went through chemo, for ovarian cancer, and agree with GatMan's notes. Not painful, but a lot of fatigue & be prepared for nausea. Due to the type of cancer I had, my chemo was in-patient for 6 days each time and chemo was about 6 hours each day. But one of the benfits of being on an oncology floor, is that the docs & nurses are only seconds away, and can treat ANY side effects in the IV. We will pray for your father in law, as well as the entire family. The love & support of a great hubby (G19G26) really helped me through. If course, MUCH help from the Big Guy upstairs!

May God Bless you & yours! :)

Thanks for all the kind words and the support, people. Congrats to you, too, Barb. I think I actually posted in your thread when you got the all clear. I'm actually trying to talk Gentle Ben into going up to Atlanta with me. He said that if he went with me, I'd hafta go to SHOT show with him in Orlando. Oh man! What a nuissance:D:D:D

Anyway, it'd be great to get up there and put some names to faces. i would probably be only to talk wifey into letting me get one blade, but it would definitely be something special. I guess I'll keep you all posted. And if I do make it, I'll take you and your hubby up on that drink.

Jason, you're the third regular Jason I know on BFC Busse Combat subforum. (Are there more?)

Anyway, I'm glad you shared your good news. Congrats.

I hope to see you at Blade.

Guy,

Before long, Gravel and I are gonna hafta come up with nicknames so people don't get us all confusticated. :D

Seriously thinking about Blade. I know tellys will be all booked up, but I'll sleep in the cab of someone's SUV if I can't find a spot. We'll see what the finances look like after Wifey and I return from NYC on the 4th of April.

On December 12, 2006, at the age of 28, I was diagnosed with Hodgkins' disease below my waist. Got married 4 days later (to the woman who was my next-door neighbor my freshman year at FSU. She'd found me 9.5 years later on MySpace). I know...crazy week. Did 3 months of chemo, and a good little bit of radiation, and in August, I was declared cancer free.

This past Friday, I took another PET scan to see if anything had returned or if there were any complications. Got the news today that there is still no sign of the cancer.:thumbup::thumbup:

Even the little successes are still successes, right? ;)

. . .Oh, and Mike...thanks for sharing, and thanks for your concern and well-wishes.

Jason

Jason,

Congrats man!!!!!

Keep up the fight my friend!!!

Jerry :D
