If interested in buying the Kizers please read below, they are new knives but have had scale modifications to "spice them up, add some grip, and lose some wieght on the Escort Model) Both are new, purchased within the last 90 days and come with box/cleaning towel/ and the little kizer came pouch. I am letting them go for cheap as a THANK YOU to this forum and some of the great deals and help I have recieved. I had these two extra and New knives and thought I would add some custom touches and pass them along without charging for my time, and also less then I bought them for. I'm not a vendor so I always tell people to support the forum and use a vendor for there knife need or custom scales, but thought this would be a way for me to help someone who may not be in a position to pay a lot of money and still get a very cool and interesting knife. Both kizer flip like rockets, and gravity fall shut. Both have a cool orange peel/media blast finish on the scales, as well as the blades have been washed/lighty blasted with crushed walnut then the finest media I had available, so it a flawless very light gray color, again unique and I thought both turned out great. So that my story and hopefully the new owners like them and appreciate the time I put into them and enjoy there "kinda custom" knife.SOLD SOLD SOLD- Kizer T1 (comes with box and knife pouch)
SOLD SOLD SOLD- Kizer Escort (comes with box and Knife pouch)
SOLD SOLD SOLD- Spyderco Lil Matriarc (comes with box and limited edition paperwork)
Some Info On the scale mods done to both the Escort and T1 Uli Hennicke.
I sandblasted the scales with a course sand, then used a different blasting cabinet at work and used crushed walnut on low power over the sand finish to give it an "orange peel" texture. It's reminds me of a little more aggresive Chris Reeve Sebenza finish, only not as prone to Snail Trails. I have done this on many projects beyond knive scales and it's a good way to add some texture, but allow it to slip into jeans no problem. The blades were removed and media "washed" on low to fade out the kizer emblems and remove the shine, this created a uniform bare metal appearance that is a very very light grey. I think it really cool and unique and have done it on a few of my personal knives.
I little about the Kizer Escort, it is a brand new knife straight from GPknives. I removed the top scale and machined off 2mm, then rounded of the scales and hard edges on the front and back scale. This knife is amazing in hand and also a bit lighter at 5oz.(stock is 5.5 to 5.6) Having a knife at 5oz WITH A FULL 3/16 CPM-S35 blade is pretty awesome! This knife feels amazing in hand, is rock solid, is so smooth it shocking and will gravity shit no problem, while also flipping like a rocket, no blade play, and dead centered.
That's it, thought this would be a fun knife for someone who can't spend several hundred on "knife pimping" or anodizing/cerakote etc. I was selling them with the goal of the new owner having to get there involved and put a nice edge then share a picture to show off there new knife. I just thought this would be fun and I'm used to motorcycle forums were having anything stock is a SIN,,, so I know many don't have tools or are afraid to ruin there brand new knife, so I did it for them! Anways, I had fun, listed the knifes for around $60 less then what I paid and spent about 2-3 hours on each knife so my "hope" is the new owner will be happy and have fun with theres and not feel bad for modifying a new knife. I can say both these models expecially the Kizer T1 are hand down two of the best knifes made at any price point.
Thanks for reading.
