If you don't mind going with Bussekin check out the Mud Puppy.
Same shape as an AD but 154 CM and a Res C grip.
Very comfy small blade.

Man, I love that HACKtive Duty! Are there very many of those? Or do have the only one?
 
Good lord Jaxx, how many AD varients do you have?

I was never that crazy for the AD, but after I saw your varients, I might have to look for some of those.

My luck they're probably one of a kind though, like your Custom Shop Sarsquatch.

So far, it's the only one that I'm aware of. :cool: ...But I'd be willing to bet that a few more will turn up at future shows.

Ummm, those aren't even all of them! I have 2 Nuclear AD's from a Blade West leftover Ganza back in '08, IIRC and a few others that haven't been in front of my cameras yet. ;)

Most of mine are one off's because of the handle material used, but there are plenty af AD variants out there! :thumbup:
 
Oh Crap!!!! Now Im REALLY in a jam! All those cool ADs. I like that one on the bottom where a choil replaces the talon hole. and the Vex, wow. I like that alot, too bad not Busse, as I rather have the name also, but thats just me. I don't like the high streets with that weird pommel, but I do love the AD's....Especially those with the thinner handles, not the thick ones. Now what do i do? I wouldn't mind trying my own hand at making a "hack" out of an AD or even BS.............or would that be not cool? i don't know. thanks for all the sick pics, and great feedback. BTW, is the Boss Jack Proto any thinner than the BJ CG version???

Personally, I'd call the Shop and ask Garth what he'd charge to grind out the talon hole/guard area first...then the warranty would remain intact. Just a suggestion. :)

I believe that the CG BSSJ is only thicker in the difference that the coating itself would add... mebbe 1 or 2 hundredths of an inch?
 
I have a AD, BAD, GW, MS, High Street, Nuclear EDC, and a Swamp Rat HC and I still can't decide which one I like best.

I would suggest forgetting everything I said about choils and ignoring my anti-choil rhetoric from now on :foot:

but it is nice to be able to do this and not have to worry about it :p

oh, man...:grumpy:yea, i know what you mean. Oh well, I really like that pic of the first AD with the large choil, too. this way, with my finger in the choil, my finger could guide the rope or whatever right onto the edge, instead of it getting caught in it.....any nice things to say about the BS in terms of use???

eh. it's biggest draw is it's size and overall package. the handle and blade lengths are great, and the choil isn't that bad. The handle ergo's are excellent for that type of handle and the blade is a very utilitarian shape. it's biggest draw back is just being so darn thick.
 
I have a SAR 3 and its a great EDC and cuts well. Can't put it down and fits easy inside your front pocket with a leather or kydex sheath. Sharpening only requires sandpaper and a strop. Another choice is the Chris Reeve Mountaineer 1.
 
I have carried an AD, GW, SS (which I modded).

I have also handled the Boss street, the High Street, Meaners, etc.

I do occasionally curse the Choil. Gets caught when cutting plastic bags, etc.

The larger choil you can stuff your sausage fingers in there when cutting that type of stuff.

I love AD, and the Boss street, and the SS, and meaner street handles.

Best in the hand is the Boss street for just plain comfort.

The Culti is also great in the hand for overall comfort (though some think it feels too small). The Boss fills the hand nicely if you are willing to carry the extra length.

Best advice is to find some one near by and handle the choices you are thinking about.
 
Get the BOSS Street first. Always get it directly from the Shop if you can. That's the only time that you are sure to get it for the original price. Awesome Service & No Worries! :) :thumbup: I recommend calling in your order so you can chat with one of the ladies in the office.

Once that has been taken care of, you can join the rest of us INFI addicted oinkers in that eternal quest for "The One". Whether it's the perfect EDC, Chopper, All purpose camping or grail blade; even when you think you've found it, the search will go on. INFI is much worst than Lay's Potato Chips. :D ;)

Oh yeah, I'd also recommend keeping an eye out for a good deal on a safe. Sooner or later you are going to need it. :eek: :D

Okay, thanks guys. I think i will get a BS first then. Can I still order a DC PRoto from the shop? or I would have to get that off the exchange? thanks again for all the help and replies!!

I love the BS. If it were legal to carry as an EDC I would. It was very nice to have this past winter. I think anything smaller would be difficult to baton with.

The SAR3 has been a great EDC now for a few weeks! :thumbup:
