Stockman question

o2bFishN, The 1095 is great everyday steel while the Carbon V is great upscale steel. The
difference is in the intended use and the buyers personal preferance. Tha's a long way of
saying buy what YOU want. In a stockman the steel only determins the life of the edge
between sharpenings. If it's a grunt everyday stockman you want get the 1095 for everyday.
That will give you money to look for a really fine stockman for dress. The cold steel stockman
is just a bit to pricey for me. Heck, who knows with the money save on the 1095 you might
be able to afford a custom made stockman. Now there's a thought........

Mnblade, just saw your request.

They have a 3.5" stockman with a somewhat rounded square bolsters. The last knife shown is one with true round bolsters. I am not sure if their Solingen steel is a carbon or stainless one but you can E-mail them.
Also please take a look at their Buck Creek knives: they have a slightly smaller (3 3/8") little diamondback stockman with true round
bolsters and stag or red pickbone handles. I think these knives are carbon steel.
Hope I could help.
