Stockman suggestions sought...

Queen's #63 Railsplitter pattern isn't considered a Stockman but it might as well be because it has basically the same blade selection. Available in D2, 420HC, 154CM, and 1095 carbon steels. Largest blade is right at 2.5 inches from bolster to tip.

This particular example has Amber Carved Stag Bone covers, a Pen blade instead of a Spey, and D2 blades. (bottom knife in first pic)

This one has a Spey blade, if that's what you prefer, and 420HC blades.

I’ll back up Railsplitter’s, ummm, Railsplitter selection, but also mention the Queen #26 Stockman. It’s their mid-to-small sized Stockman, comes in a variety of steels(D2, get the D2), and should meet your cost and size requirements. Get yours now, before they cost too much.
Thanks, Neal

I never was big on a stockman pattern always preferred a single clip or two blade jack pattern that is until I won a GEC Northfield #66 from Supratentorial in a GAW
(thanks Jake). I love this knife and it has been in my pocket since I received it. I did a review on it here. It is a bit bigger than you want at 2,75" clip and they are still available but at the top or a bit more of your budget depending on the cover material. They do pop up on the exchange from time to time for a little less. These are excellent knives that are well worth the price and hold their value well.
