Stockman Sunday picture show

The Buck 700 series were made in-house by Buck, not a Camillus contract knife, correct?
Good looking knife. 😁👍
Thank you.

I have a note in my knife spreadsheet stating that “All 700 series knives were made in house by 1986 at the latest”.

I don’t remember where I got that information but I wouldn’t have added it to my spreadsheet if I didn’t feel that the source was reliable.

The 700 series began in 1979 to the best of my knowledge so there must have been someone else making them in the beginning. Maybe Camillus but I am uneducated on the subject.

Guess I’ll join in and get my kicks on Route 66!

Maybe it's just me, but I always thought that the GEC 66, and the Case 18 were the perfect knives for riding in the rfp of a pair of jeans.
I respectfully disagree. GEC 91 and Case 75 for loose in bottom of RFP carry.

With smaller/lighter knives, gotta keep patting pocket to make sure the knife did not run away.
(tho I still check a couple times an day to make sure my 91/x375/RR603/other 4.25" (or larger 858OT/OTB) stockman has not escaped.)

If I want to carry something bigger than a medium stockman or Barlow, I jump right to a Buck 112, and that rides on my belt. But like I said, that's probably just me.

No disagreement with the big stockmans, afishhunter afishhunter Sometimes I feel like going boat anchor big, sometimes I go medium....but, rarely go small.

That's a beautiful Oily Creek! Ironbut Ironbut I'm a fan of the Case 18 pattern as well. My old XX 6318PU is a favorite in the rotation. Think it'll get a turn tomorrow.

That's a classy lookin' Tortoise 66, Bruce! Old Hunter Old Hunter

You've got a nice patina going on that Antique Autumn 66, Jim. 315 315 That stag 68👆of mine hasn't seen any use to acquire a patina, but maybe someday it'll work it's way in the rotation. 😉

This was the 66 I had in my pocket today and my favorite of the '17 run.

To me the Old Timer 858 is a "Large" Stockman.
The GEC 91/Case 75 and other 4.25" Stockmans are a "Medium".
A Buck 301 (3 7/8" closed) and the various 4" closed Stockmans are a "Small".
A 3.75" Sowbelly is a "Little" Stockman.
Under 3.625 is "Tiny"
My two 3.25" Stockmans (never carried) are "Micro" Stockmans.

IF I ever get one of those 8" closed Rough Rider/Ryder Anniversary stockmans, it will be my "Extra Large".
No doubt I will have to make a belt sheath for it ... as it would likely displace the two blade Folding Hunter or Buck 110/Old Timer 7OT that is "normally" on my belt. 😁👍
