Stockman Sunday picture show

OK fine, it's Tuesday, but the picture was taken on Saturday, so that has to count for something, right?

My 8 yr old (in three weeks... man oh man time flies) using his Solingen made Boker Stockman to "beaver chew" a branch for use as a hiking stick. For a few months this was MY stockman, but he "acquired" it from my knife case... As brother Hammer67 Hammer67 pointed out to me, the kid's got good taste.

I have to admit, Ben - I had a pretty good idea in whose hands that knife would end up. 😉

Glad to see Jake is enjoying it so much!

I have added a few more Queen Classics to my collection, and two of them are stockman-ish knives. One is the #49F Farrier knife, in wormgroove bone ( 9 made, circa 2004). This is based on the venerable queen #49 Texas Cattle King stockman, except the spey is replaced with a punch and the sheepsfoot with a hoofpick. Its a big knife, but surprisingly comfortable in the hand. The second is a #99 Cattle Knife in winterbottom bone (25 made, circa 2005). Both have beautiful fit and finish.
