IF YOU CAN PROVIDE INFORMATION LEADING TO EITHER THE ARREST AND PROSECUTION OF THE THIEF OR THE RETURN OF THE KNIFE TO ME, I WILL GLADLY PAY YOU $500. I WILL NOT PRESS CHARGES ON YOU IF YOU ARE WORRIED YOU WILL BE SEEN AS AN ACCOMPLICE!

This knife was inherited by me. PLEASE HELP! If the person gives you any information to the contrary, I can prove it. Thief likely lives in Mountain City, TN and has MANY other valuables that he has sold and stolen from me after breaking into my home. I have eyewitness testimony to his nature and a criminal background report if you need proof of character before turning him in. Again, PLEASE HELP. I lost most of my inheritance to this Mountain City newcomer. Watch who you trust.

Many inscriptions:
Von Dutch (on the blade)
1983 (I believe on the blade)
Farrikat (on the blade)
System "Zin hand" (opposite side, on the blade)
WERKZEUGSTAM_____ on the top of the blade
I believe there are two ivory circles

You say the thief has sold items stolen from you, can you tell us where he sold them? If it's someplace online, then members here who browse there might keep an eye out.

My general advice when someone has anything of value stolen is to make a list of pawn shops in the area and visit them to see if the stolen property is there. Of course you don't want to tell the owner or people working there that you are looking for stolen property.

If you just wait for the police to find and return your stolen property you could be very disappointed. This is not a knock against the police, it's just a simple fact of life that the police have a lot of stolen property cases to work on, and I'm sure they have many that came before yours that have not yet been solved. And a stolen knife might not be their highest priority.

Victims of theft have a much better chance (although a slim one) of getting their property back if they are proactive and search for themselves, both on foot (pawn shops), and online (ebay, Craigslist, etc)

Good luck. I hope you find and recover your property. And I hope the thief gets what's coming to him.

I have seen stuff online on Marketplace being sold by other people in Mountain City TN. He has ties to Morganton NC. He took a lot of stuff. He emptied a storage unit of inherited items that weren't fully gone through. He stole A LOT of my essential oils and pain products I make. I'm glad you reminded me of Craigslist. It's been a while. He lives in another county so there's an invisible police barrier 😞🚧.
