Hey guys.

I had a bad thing happen to me last night while I was at work in. I had 2 knives stolen from me. One of them was my CHERISHED Ancient Bog Oak Hunter. The other wasn't a Fiddleback but it was still dear to me, A Dan Koster Bushmaster...

I basically begged a GREAT person (Scotcha) to sell me that Hunter for a few days and he finally gave in. Now the both of us are pretty broken up over it. You will probably laugh & that's fine but I have been crying over it off & on all day. I know, I know, I'm acting like a child. But it was without a doubt, the most BAD ASS knife I have ever owned and I have owned 100's. It was just an amazing piece of work from the forge, I loved it.

This is an EXTREME long shot considering who took it but if you guys see or hear about it, please let me know. Some photos that Scotcha & I both took are below...

Thank you gentlemen for your time and Happy Halloween & Happy Fiddleback Friday...:)

I despise thieves. That truly sucks.
Hold everyone hostage at work until someone coughs it up. No don't do that.
Just send out a letter at work stating that the Ancient Bog Oak has cryptic powers and its capture will suffer grave consequences.
Sorry to make light of it. I feel bad for ya man. Good luck in hopefully finding it.

Sorry to hear that man. I really don't like to hear that. I hate thieves. Beautiful knife, I hope it turns up.

Man, that stinks. I will watch for this knife.

Sounds like you have a good idea of who took it? How come at work but on your person?

Sorry for your loss

I am so sorry Brad. That truly was an awesome blade. Most places have surveillance cameras everywhere these days, maybe there's one around or on a nearby business. Our company has them inside and out, you can't walk anywhere without being picked up by one. File a report with the police then start hitting the local pawn shops this weekend. Just sad.

That stinks dude, sorry to hear this. In order for all of us to keep track of this, please post (if you're comfortable) city and state where it was stolen, if the knife surfaces on any of the usual forums, it will likely be sent from the same area, thus you might have a better chance of locating/ID'ing the dirtbag who stole it

Gentlemen,

Thank you all for the kind words. I truly appreciate it!

A few of you have heard from me, pestering you to sell me knives. All of you were really nice about it as well. This is a great forum with even greater people. Even the Knife Smith himself will talk to you, THANKS Andy! I really appreciate how everyone that I have spoken to thus far is really cool!

Thank you guys! I have edited the first post to include my city & state...

More details. How was it stolen? While you were working... was it from you house, from your truck... were you running dogs, were you trapping? Provide all information possible my man and it will aid in any chance you have in recovery. Were there guys working with you at the time? This world is a lot smaller then many people think.

This was really a kick in the guts for both Brad & me, more so for him as not only has he lost two irreplaceable knives but also the money he had invested in them. I was devastated to find out about the theft also because it was going to be headed back home.

It has been a terrible time as my mother passed away last night. I am trying to keep myself busy to be strong for my Dad at the moment.

I hope that you eventually get the blades back Brad.

Man that blows, could write a dirge about that. I would be livid. Hope you can recover them. Knowing the dirtbag that took them has no idea what he has.

You & I both both my friend.

I know how it feels to lose a Mother. You have my deepest sympathies brother. You & your Father are in my thoughts & prayers....
