Remember the 20" Sirupati that was stolen from T1MPANI'S truck? He has since sent it to me. This one will take the place of the 18" Siru that I gave my son (karma?). This is a wonderful piece of work. It's hard to believe how balanced it is for the size. It feels and moves very well. It's a Kami Kumar Production and is my third blade by Kumar. I rank him right up there...good work!

Sounds like you got you a good one Ben.:D Kumar was the "whiz kid" before Shanker came along, if I remember right. Nowadays Kumar enjoys a well deserved reputation for consistently making great khuks.

That 20" Siru is a real hoss ain't it? Try chopping some wood with it, I think you'll be more than a little surprised. For such a quick, well balanced, knife, it'll bite pretty dadburned deep. Am I a fan of Sirupatis? What do you think?;)

Hoss, is right Sarge. It's hard to believe the difference in a Khuk that a few inches will make. I have a small Chinese Elm that needs to be removed from the yard (no more than 6" in diameter). I used an AK on a previous elm and I am really anxious to see how this Siru does. It just seems to be in a "crouched" position, ready to go. I'll let you know how it does, but I'll bet you already have some hint.:D

Stop it! Stop it! You blokes are killing me. I have two 20 inch sirupatis in the mail somewhere. One from John Powell with a Chadan grip that John originally posted to me about four weeks ago that is being delayed by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Department (they reckon the Chadan is an endangered American timber -never mind that it comes from Nepal), and the other bought from Uncle Bill's special half price deal last week.

There is to be no mention of how great the 20 inch sirupatis are until mine have arrived. Contrary to popular belief, anticipation is terrible. I can't stand it.:( :( :(

the 18 inchers are reputed to be among the best, if only they were 2 inches longer.:p

Glenn, sorry you have to wait for something like the 20" Siru. I know how anticipation can get to you. If it will make you feel any better I took my 20" Siru out into the yard to take down an unwanted tree. It was horrible. The most unwieldy, dull, won't take branches off with a single swipe, kind of khuk I have used up til now.

Believe that? ;)

The wait will be worth it.
