This knife was stolen from my table on Saturday at the Badger Annual Knife Show at Janesville, Wi. I'd appreciate everyone's assistance in watching in the event that it turns up somewhere. It's a 3 1/2" tan mammoth ivory scaled swayback, marked K R Johnson on the Wharncliffe blade, and ATS-34 on the back side of the blade.

Thank you, Keith

Some people are absolute dirt, I hope he he slips and castrates himself with it so he can't reproduce.
It really bugs me that so many people ruin it for everyone else. Hope you get it back soon and the thief gets whats coming to him

At a show in utah a few years ago one table had small steel cables through the lanyard hole and attached to the table. this way people can hold them as much as they like but cant slip them into a pocket or bag or whatever, probably wouldnt work with a traditional swayback as they dont usally have lanyard holes but its a thought.

I had stopped and chatted with Keith a few times on Saturday(thanks for the cup of coffee!) and finding out the swayback was stolen off his table put a damper on the day for me. I can only imagine how Keith felt. I hope the knife surfaces at some time in the future and justice is served.

I had a glass case but was forced to leave it behind because of lack of space in the vehicle. Won't make that mistake again!

How about a collapsible plexi case? I would be fairly easy to make, come apart for transport, wont break easy, and be just enough of a slow down that the thieves wouldn't try it. Polishing the edges of plexi is easy too, I did enough of it in my time as a car stereo installer.

Man that was a bute too! There is two things I can't stand and that is a liar and a theif and they usually go hand in hand!!!!!!!!!!:jerkit:

Has this one showed back up or did they get away with it? Man I hate a thief. Must have been a gun and knife show. I dont see a knife guy being too much a thief but could be wrong. Everyone can be tempted and that blade is a beaut.

It was at the Badger Knife Show in Janesville, Wi. I'm not the only one who's been hit there, but any time you let the public in, you need eyes in the back of your head, too. I've heard no more about this knife.

when I go to A gun and knife show everything is under class cases. Knox on wood I have had nothing stolen. the last show I just did A gun dealer got 2 guns stolen.

This week at the Riverton gun show, happens every memorial day - Saw a real neat idea, some black netting over guns, you could see them, it was almost invisible. Folks had to ask to handle the guns and knives. Pretty good idea!

But I would really trust folks and hope and believe that in turn they trust me. I lost a great knife a few years ago, all I figure is that I hope she found a good home - eventually - and did not get tossed into a trash bin.

In over 30 years I have only been burned twice. Pretty good odds and speaks well for our knife community.

I've seen that at gun shows too but it was on a display table. I have a glass case but because of space limitations, I was forced to leave it behind. I could kick myself......next time the glass case comes along and it'll be something else that stays behind.
