This weekend was the annual Stone Tool and Primitive Technology Show in Letchworth State Park, right here in WNY. I made it out there on Sunday, and had a blast.

Here's some pics of the event:

This huge teepee greeted me as I walked from the parking lot. It housed a shop, and kept me dry during a brief rain.

Dozens of vendors offered a wide selection of primitve tech and art.

This guy was selling fire pistons. They were too pricey for my wallet, but I enjoyed his demonstration of how they worked.

I talked to a cool guy who makes primitive fish hooks! We discussed our experiences with primitive fishing, and he gave me some tips. I've got to make some of these.

It was a great day, and despite a little rain everyone was warm and friendly. I can't wait until next year! :D

Really, really good stuff, John G. I'll have to keep my eyes open for an event like that in my area.

What a great show. Those award winning arrowheads are amazing. Thanks for the photos.
