I have a few stone washed blades and was just wondering what would be the best way to force a patina on it? Thanks in advance!

are they carbon steel blades? only carbon steel will take a patina. mustard works and so does vinegar. i put mustard on in a pattern then let it dry. then i soak it in vinegar till the blade turns grey. put some nail polish on the pivot area and inside the hole to keep the vinegar from eating the metal in thoes areas.

will do as long as it looks decent this is my first attempt... do you just use nail polish remover to take it off around pivot area?
