Well it certainly doesn't appear to be destroyed, but it also doesn't appear to be the next hot trend in knife scales either.

I put a piece of cf in my tumbler with half round and triangle ceramic media, ran it with a little water for 40 minutes or so.
Non event. No change to the finish. (I had put a 150 grit satin finish before I dropped it in)

There's no way tumbling would destroy the structure of cf. well, maybe some if you ran it for a year 24/7.
