Stonewashing question

I'm actually surprised how much I love it. The fit and finish is incredible, the locking mechanism is much easier / more fun & unique than I expected, and the blade length to handle / weight ratio is perfect for EDC. Highly recommended.

I went ahead and stonewashed it with the finish on first. Didn't like the results - too much gray left in the finish. Sanded the clip down with a 320 grit sand sponge and then stonewashed it again. Insanely happy and impressed with the results. Matches the finish almost perfectly. Check it out.

DIY stonewashed Sebenza clip on a Ti-Lock:

That looks fantastic and if the production ti-lock came like that I'd have one already.

Do you think the end result would be similar if I followed your steps on the boker ti kwaiken? or the spyderco techno?

Thanks! I'm really happy with it. I wish they'd ditch the stock clip, too. Since adding this clip I've fallen in love with the knife all over again. It's worlds better for clip carry now.

As far as the Techno goes, I used to own one and think the Ti scales would respond very well to this treatment. I've never handled the Kwaiken, but if the Ti is similar to the Techno I don't see why it wouldn't work.
