Stonewashing Screws?

Hi all, I just did my first homemade stonewash(rocks and wd-40 in a bottle, put in dryer) on a knife, ad after I put it all together I noticed the screws really stand out now, is it possible to stonewash screws without messing them up?

I don't think you'd get very good results doing screws. I just about always take the screws out of a new knife and hit them with a scotch-brite wheel on the Dremel, gives them a nice matte/satin look.

Here is a pic of a Sebenza it had the highly polished screws and inserts, this after i hit it with the Dremel.

Stone washing may damage the threads. I would just rough up the surface on the heads to match the blade.

That would be a problem as well.

I don't think there is enough surface area on the screw heads to see any kind of pattern.

I`m sure it would work if you just screwed them into somthing that covers the threads and then stonewashed them. I would think some heat shrink tubing over the threads would work also.
