KAI? Is that a name or is initials for something? I needs to know these sorts of thangs. Thanks.
 
KAI is a corporation. They own Kershaw, ZT, and Shun.

Basically KAI is the poopy :D

KAI stands for Kids Ants and Indians. It is named after the founder of the company who's first job was working as a teacher in a montessori school, with Kids. After a few years he began to study Entomology and eventually moved his entire focus of study to studying the live and meaning of life, of Ants. And he was an Indian. So KAI, beautiful right?

Also the name of a dog I had several years back(shepard, doberman, coonhound mix), I think it means "ocean" in japanese and hawaiian.
 
it's actually KAL, and it's pretty obvious that the company is owned by, and named after Kal Penn. You know, the guy who plays Kumar. For reals.

KAI can mean earth, ocean, sea and a few other things. Depends on how you use it and what country you're in when you say it.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it. :D
