Sure thing.
As far as I can tell there are two commonly used active ingrediants used in nasal sprays. Some use one, others use the other chemical.
The first chemical is the one I posted, used as Gollnick said in Afrin. And as I can tell in one called "Drixine" too, and probably a few others aswell.
The other chemical used in other nasal sprays is called Xylometazoline hydrochloride, as used in for example a spray called Otrivine.(which I have right next to me, it's the one my doc gave me a few weeks ago when I was sick).
The thing is, both chemicals are constrictors, so I
assume pretty much any nasal spray would work. Not sure though.
I guess to be safe we should stick to Afrin and Drixine which use the Oxymetazoline hydrochloride.
Interesting subject. I might need to add this, or something similar, to my own BOB.
