Here's a 2lbish cutler hammer.. face is polished to 400 grit, its sealed and blackened with a coating of oil.. Nice and hard, bounces well and works well for forming bevels and doing really precise finish hammer work.

Handle is hickory that when fresh from sanding showed up this brilliant white color shown in the following pics... It'll darken with use.

The steel for this one is 1060 I believe, only the face is hardened and its draw tempered. they work well
