I too was interested in a Hammock for a long time.
Did lots of research, spent many hour pouring over models, on net, reading anything I could.
I came to a few conclusions:
1) i do not like the HH method of entry, while it seems neat i like to put stuff in the bottom of my hammock aand this would muck it up.
2) The Clark model seems very nice, but also very pricey, lots of features but you pay for it, and if you find that Hammocking is not for you, well thats a big outlay.
3)
www.mosquitohammock.com/ this is what i went for in the end, the Jungle hammock its USd 150, no postage charge, big and comfortable, up to 350 pounds and a good 7 foot person will sleep soundly.
Its used by several milliatry units, has a double sided bottom so you can put a thermarest in it and not worry about it sliding around, has a mozzie net, a sepearte tarp it comes in camo, you can sleep on it on the ground if you run out of trees, very strong and easy to put up, not as many bells and whistes as the Clark but bigger and stronger and will save you $$, the only thing to be aware of, the straps and string that comes with it is cheap and wicks water, i repalced them with clibing ropes, clibing straps carabiners and ring bickes for a few dollars.
Its perfect as far as i am concerned.
