And one is a Boone & Crockett. One is a 482 BuckLite Max with the B&C logo etched on the blade. The other is a 425 Buck Mini.

The other is the normal import set with a 327 Nobleman and a 375 Duece. However, they have Ebony and Burllwood handles that actually look nice. The 327 looks to have either a stainless or aluminum spacer and the 375 looks to have a brass one.

They are both at Wally World.

I think I saw another at
my local wally store. I'll have to check again.

I've seen them on the auction site but they're not shown on the Buck website. What retailers will be carrying these sets?
A stamp pad logo isn't enough to make the Bucklite MAX set special but I'd add the burlwood knives to my mini collection of ChinaBucks I keep hidden in the closet. :o

Just got back from town and I picked up one of each set. I think I'll go back later and get another two so I can open one of each.

Hmmmm, this is interesting. On the back of the package containing the Bucklite and Minibuck, it says, "These blades are crafted from durable 420HC steel....." but the Nobleman and Deuce set says "The blades are made from durable steel.......".

Where did you buy them?

The Bucklite set is USA and the ebony/burlwood set is China, Right?

Wally World and yes. The Nobleman is 440A and the Deuce is 420J2. Maybe they just didn't want to list two different types of steel on the back.

Ah, I remember the good old days when the holiday season meant cool 110s and 112s in tins.

Enough so we always had insane discounts late in the season.

Now......it don't mean much.

Just saw a picture of the backside of the 327 Nobleman. The burlwood is only on the front of the knife. The backside is smooth metal with a pocket clip. You won't have to worry about getting mismatched scales with this one...

There is a You-Tube review of this set if you're interested. That's where I saw the back. Personally, I was kinda disappointed that the wood was only on 1 side of the knife.

Man, that video review was painful, too long for what the guy had to say for me.

I will look for a set though and at the price will pick them up for users.

Do wish for the days of 110 and 112's in the holiday selection. However, with the economy I think it's best to keep things on the lower price point.

I just got back from Academy and saw another tin. It had two knives, a canoe and a toothpick. They looked very nice in the package but I haven't had much experience with Buck's chinese made kinves.
Just pulled the trigger on the Boone and Crockett from wally world. I was afraid that if I waited I would miss my chance.

Does the Bucklite have the pocket clip on it? I was just at wallyworld and couldn't tell and the package didn't say anything about a clip. Thanks guys.

bucklite has no pocket clip. my girl gave me these two tins as a early gift. she surprised me and gave them to me on sunday. told me she felt bad since last christmas she didn't get me anything (even though i told her not to) i don't even remember everything about last christmas it was wierd not having grandma around anymore.

The knife in the tin is a Bucklite Max and they do have a pocket clip.

OOPs, I just opened one of the tins and for some reason, they left off the clip on this one. The others that I have all have them and the catalog says they do.
