Build em. It's less expensive and more fulfilling.

ahhh i'm not good with wood... last time i built a bench i ended up putting concrete blocks for legs because its easier and more familiar to me.

In my Knife Shop I put all my belts up on the wall. You can see how I did it. Just one way, it works for me. Happy New Year.--------

Check w/ contractors or cabinet & bath shops for used kitchen cupboards. Or watch classified ads in the newspapers. Sometimes you will find them real cheap [or free]. Good luck! :)

If you're in not particular hurry, watch stuff on Craigslist. A guy near me was just giving away cabinets in the "free" section...

If you find someone who is remodeling in their kitchen, you can probably get their old cabinets for free. Other than that, I like the Rubbermaid cabinets, but they are kind of expensive.

These cabinets from Lowes don't look too bad, but they are about $70.

At one time Lowe's had a bench kit. All it was was pieces of punched and bent galvanized sheet metal and you added 2x4"s and plywood. It had the basic lay-out of several bench set-ups. My first shop bench was made this way out of salvaged 2x4"s and scrap. It's realy easy to build, just cut the 2x4"s to length and put the metal pieces on and install the screws through the pre-punched holes. I've got it set up with buffer and vise and it's covered with tools and crap now. There pretty stabile and tuff, but after building one and seeing how it goes together I built the rest without the kit and just used 3" deck screws. I think they still have the bench kit, but it may be made out of plastic now, should work fine though.
