Storage Question ?

Have some Schrade knives with origional boxs. The knives are in plastic wraps, for storage shouldn't they be taken out of plastic ?

I dont think it hurts the knife unless it is it place where condensation can set in but the sheath cannot be in plastic as the leather must breathe.
