Storing Evenheat Oven in the shed?

Hi everyone, haven't been around in a while, hope everyone is doing ok.

I need room in my shop for a TIG and a small enclosure to weld in, so some stuff has to go. Mainly my HT oven which I don't use at this point. But since I might again some day, for something different than HT, I don't want to sell it.

My question is, can I store it in the shed all year long? It is protected from the elements but not heated and it gets cold for many months here. Ambient humidity is not that bad though.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Mine has lived outdoors under cover as long as I've owned it (coming up on 4 years now) and it doesn't seem to mind

mine is in an unheated garage in Maine for seven years no issues yet. Maybe an little extra protection or wrapping so mice dont chew through wires?

Thanks guys. Of course I am assuming that you ovens get used from time to time and I don't know how that factors into it but it is still good to hear that they survive in an unheated environment. And I am pretty sure it's nowhere as humid as it is in Maine here, especially if you are close to the coast JM. Good point about the wiring, I may even remove what I can not protect adequately from mice.

Thanks again for your help.

Hi Frank, good to hear from you, I hope you are doing well.

I did check with my insurance company to make sure everything is ok. Much better having commercial insurance now specializing in covering artisans.

I'm on an island on the west coast where it rains at least 6 months of the year, so its pretty damn humid. Usually anything stored in a non heated area rusts. The evenheat doesn't seem to mind though
I really wouldn't worry too much myself
