Hey, Ron, I saw your story about having your Crosscut seized at an airport. That is a bummer. I carry one on my keychain always, except when I am going into a court or some other type of place that might get concerned about such an item. Never had an airport problem, though.
The other night, I went to a presentation on Native American Astronomy that was being given by a friend at the Einstein Planetarium in the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum down on the Mall in Washington, DC. If you have never been to the Air & Space, you really should go; you could spend a week in there and not adequately cover it all. When I left, I apparently dropped my belt pouch which contained, among other things, a SOG Crossgrip. I carry it there since I need it less often than the scissors. When I called the security desk on the next day, the guard said that they had the pouch and that they were very interested in that neat little tool in it. When I got down to pick it up, I showed them my Crosscut, and gave them the names and e-addresses of one or two places that sell them. I did point out that they were not the least expensive items out there because they were very well made of quality materials. I have no idea if the guards have or will actually buy any, but they certainly were interested.
