  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Stout backpacking knife

If you really want to haul a big chopper, Esse does a nice job.

Backpacking is always a compromise. Personally, I've never started a fire in the wilderness or carried more than a folder when going solo or with highlg skilled backpackers. Lighter always = farther and faster.

In the flip side, I have carried a GB SFA when winter backpacking with boy scouts, whi often yend to be slow and inspired to do crazy things.

Understandable, but I always make a fire, unless there's restrictions. I walk fast, cover country, and carry all the cool gear I work every day of my life for. In the end I enjoy myself, and enjoy sitting around a nice fire at night with my family or friends
