This is a straight bladed hunter. It was originally a part of an order, but the buyer decided he wanted a different style, so I completed these and began work on his.

The steel is 1095 clay quenched with a great hamon. (along with it's brother, one of my best so far). It has a full convex grind (notice no plunge lines) It has been hand sanded to 2000 grit and etched to reveal the hamon. The spine has full file work.

The handle is Bocote.

The sheath is leather and uses the cross strap design for horizontal and vertical carry. The knife fits snugly inside.

Dimensions.
Blade - Just a tick more than 4 1/2" tip to handle
OAL - 9"

Price - $200 shipped to US (if outside the US contact me). I prefer paypal to matt@baileyknives.com, but will accept check or money order.

The first "I'll take it!" gets it.

Very nicely done.
It's nice to see a knife handle with some logical ergonomics.
It's nice, as well, to see good handle material NOT used to make a "broomstick" handle!
(I despise broomstick handles!)
Looks like you nailed the hamon as well.

I use parks 50 for the quench, heated to about 140 give or take.

Thanks for the comment about handle design. I went through a lot of different designs before I came up with the process that I use on nearly all my knives whether they have the belly or an index finger grip with the recurve belly. It fits my hand very nicely. I just keep grinding and gripping until it seems to melt into my hand.
