Straight Edge Traditionals

Great pics Meako

This thing has a lead a softer life than Liberaces pet Pomeranian.

:D

Thanks, Jack. I've really enjoyed your examples!

Thanks Al, I need to get the camera out. I'm hoping this thread can stay around for a while as a repository of Straight Edge Love :)

A rare tortoise acrylic GEC stainless, 1 of 4 only.

Very nice Jeff

This thread needs some lambcliffes

I was wondering when the Lambcliffes would be along! :D Love your pics P

While I know it is possible to buy a stockman which does not have a sheepsfoot blade, you will never find such a knife in my possession.

So, each of these knives has a Sheepsfoot blade.

It's an exceptional piece of wood, akula - thank you for identifying it!

I've posted these elsewhere, but they are relevant here:

Nice thread, Jack!
Straight edged knives are definitely useful, and easy to maintain!

It's fairly unusual to find one with a secondary blade.
Here's a pic with it open:

Fantastic pics Charlie, lovely to see all those great straight-edge knives

A few more of of my straight edges. Some of the customs have gone to new homes, the vintage pieces I still have.

I started with this badly butchered IXL Wostenholm hawkbill pruner

With little grinding and reproofing, plus some elbow grease, I ended up with a very nice sheepsfoot of sorts
