This is a real working man’s knife. It belonged to my uncle, who was a merchant sailor. Entirely unmarked, dull as a butter knife, and soaked in what appears to be motor oil:

The Schrade-Walden riggers knife. This is the second knife I bought from the estate. The Sailor served on the USS Portland LSD37, USS Iwo Jima LP42, and the USS Vogelgesang DD862 - glad I wrote these ships down on a scrap of paper when I bought the knives in 2013.
