Steel: AEB-L with cryo treatment

Hardness: 61.5 RC

Blade length: cutting edge is 2-5/8"

Total length: 7-3/32"

Blade thickness: a bit under 1/8" at spine

Handle material: bone paper micarta

Price: $150 + $10 insured shipping

The blade was finished with cork belts, so it's not quite a mirror polish, but pretty shiny. This is a fixed blade, not a folder, like traditional straight razors. Tang is tapered.

This is kind of a prototype, so it doesn't have my mark on it. I'm hoping someone will use it (for shaving) and let me know how it works out.

I can take paypal, check, or MO. Send paypal to phillip at pattonblades dot com. Please verify that the knife is still available before sending payment. :-)

Thanks for looking!

This is super cool and I'm really intrigued. I have shaved with a straight razor, but held the handles in a semi straight manner so I'm not sure about how I would work it. I am going to experiment tonight.

I'm sitting here trying to visualize how I would use that in my left hand or how I'd use it on the left side of my face. my old mentor taught me to shave with one of his collection of razors. We used to use them occasionally in surgical prep. A very interesting piece. Bigger would like that if he were still alive .

If the rounded end were clipped off it could be marketed as a fowl Shechita knife. Is that a possibility, flattening the rounded end?
