So almost a year ago, I came across my old straight razor while looking for a particular pocketknife. and decided to start making some. Little did I know how involved that one thought would be. but after a couple months and quite a few not so good razors, everything came together and they are doing very well! here is a nice one in 1095 and Cocobolo!

OAL open 10 1/4"

edge length is 3 1/8"

8/8's or 1" wide

grind- 1/3 hollow, .225" thick at the spine, .013" measured 1/4" behind the edge, and .008" thick at the shoulder of the edge.

steel- 1095 high carbon, differentially hardened. heat treat includes a double normalize, double anneal, triple edge quench and triple temper for a really nice performing blade that takes and holds a great edge and yet is easy to hone!

edge- honed with one layer of electrical tape, and finished on a naniwa 12,000, stropped on canvas with crox, then canvas, and finished on English bridle. then test shaved for 3 shaves, stropped, and disinfected in barbasol.

finish- machine a65 finish, then cold blued in a dot pattern

scales- Cocobolo one piece with brass washers and pins.

weight - 2.95 ounces, I like a heavier razor as it settles the slight shake in my hand.

$195 plus $5 for shipping/insurance to CONUS. I can accept paypal Joe357m@bresnan.net or money order. It is also listed on my website at www.caltoncutlery.com
