Yup... ;)

Hogs eat corn, barley, wheat, rye and oats. The farmer will combine soybeans, linseed, cottonseed, nuts, meat scraps and protein...In old times, hogs ran wild in the woods and ate acorns and whatever else they found. They were skinnier and tougher and were called razorbacks...

many thanks honarable yodatrax... :)

Don't get the Hog hunters started......we will end up with a best knife for dressing a hog thrread.....I know that some of our AL,MS,FL readers will chime in as will our TX and NM boys with their big hogs and little hogs (Peccary - look it up).

As far as wildlife biologists are concerned wild hogs are a PIA. They eat all manner of creatures, plants, eggs and young. And Trax they are acorn vacuums. The love a good turkey nest. Some dumb A guys turn them loose to hunt and then wonder why their turkeys disappear......

Rant over........I have seen them in every shape, size and color, shot'em with all manner of weapons, a 303 Stockman is big enough to dress a tender small one - i.e. 30/35 lbs.. Great ole big ones have tough hide (200+LBS) and something in the model 100 category is needed. People eat lots of them and never know it, the little crossroads BBQ joints take in some backdoor in the dark delieveries. Across the south, little leagues, cheerleaders, service clubs, lodges, chambers of commerce and churches serve up the wild swine to earn hard cash....... drive down any road and you will meet someone pulling a custom or home made BBQ grill trailer off to another fund rasising event. A friend on a wildlfe refuge on the Texas coast killed 482 in one year and never made a dent in the population....as they are able to have several broods a year. As you can see I enjoy eating them for the taste and to get even for their damage to nature.

Looking forward to those pics dave. Also, while your at it, could you please measure the blade lenght?

the blade edge is 7 1/8 a 124 is 5 1/8
the belly of the clip is 3/16 wider then at the chime
the knife is heavy it seems real stag handle
as you can see side by side with a 124 it is much larger knife
possability one of the long 124 customs cut down.
who knows
joe i will repack and ship this knife to you for your look see...
if you click the pict you will get a much larger image

334dave, stop!!!

Look carefully...is the blade made of *silver*??? If it is, don't let it cut you!!! Believe me, I've seen it happen to Christopher Lee!!! Just handle it carefully...gloves are best...and don't lick the blade!!!:thumbup:

Sounds to me like it belongs in Buck's factory collection...[double Buck?] Think it will make the B and C ?? How many points?...If it is in fact a custom "Custom".....Humm.....

Nice score Dave! That looks much better in your photo's than on the bay. It will be interesting to hear what Joe has to say about that knife.
